If you're successful everywhere except your relationship, this course was built for you.
You've built a career by being calm under pressure, solving problems, thinking logically and getting results.
Those qualities probably helped you become successful.
But they may also be the very reason your relationship feels stuck.
The High-Achiever's Relationship Blindspots is a practical course that shows you why this happens—and, more importantly, exactly how to change it.
Created by me, Graham Johnston, Couples Therapist . I've worked in high-performance professional environments, completed an MBA, worked alongside Government Ministers and senior executives, and have appeared on ITV's My Mum, Your Dad as a relationship expert. I created this programme specifically for people whose professional strengths don't always translate into their relationships.
In just a few short lessons, you'll discover the hidden relationship habits that create emotional distance and learn practical, evidence-informed strategies to help your partner feel more understood, more connected and closer to you again.
Inside you'll learn how to:
- Stop repeating the same arguments without simply giving in.
- Understand why your partner says they don't feel heard—even when you're trying to help.
- Replace workplace habits that create emotional distance with behaviours that build connection.
- Rebuild warmth, affection and emotional closeness.
- Communicate in ways that reduce defensiveness instead of escalating conflict.
- Feel more successful at home as well as at work.
No therapy jargon. No vague advice. No endless discussions about feelings.
Just practical relationship psychology, clear communication frameworks and immediately usable tools designed specifically for intelligent, analytical, high-performing professionals.
If your relationship matters as much as your career, it's time to stop relying on the skills that got you promoted—and start using the ones that bring people closer.
One client who purchased the course recently said to me "I'm comfortable in the C Suite and handling in £10m deals, but I felt lost and useless with my wife. I knew I didn't want to leave, but I couldn't get a grip of how to change things. Your course helped me do that. I'm not perfect, but I'm getting better."

I've spent my career working in two worlds that rarely overlap.
Before becoming a relationship therapist, I worked in high-performance professional environments including at the heart of the UK Government, completing an MBA and working alongside Government Ministers, senior leaders and executives. Since then, I've written the book on what makes good couples therapy, and appeared on prime-time TV as a relationships expert.
I understand the pressures that ambitious professionals face because I've lived them.
I know what it's like to build a career where you're rewarded for being:
- logical,
- decisive,
- calm under pressure,
- solution-focused,
- and driven to achieve.
Those qualities are invaluable at work.
But over the years, I began noticing something.
Many of the intelligent, successful people sitting opposite me in the therapy room weren't struggling because they lacked commitment or love.
They were struggling because they were applying the same strategies at home that had made them successful professionally.
The more I worked with high achievers, the clearer the pattern became.
They weren't broken.
They weren't emotionally incapable.
And they didn't necessarily have the wrong partner.
They were simply using the wrong operating system.
That's why I created The High-Achiever's Relationship Blindspots.
I've distilled the psychological principles, practical tools and communication strategies that consistently make the biggest difference for people like you.
Everything in this programme is designed to answer one question:
"How can I use my strengths without letting them become relationship blindspots?"
On paper, life looks pretty good.
You've worked hard to build a successful career. People rely on you. You're respected. You solve problems. You get things done.
But when you walk through the front door, something feels different.
The skills that make you successful at work don't seem to be working with the person you love most.
Maybe you've noticed things like this...
- You keep having the same argument—just with different details.
- Your partner says they don't feel heard, even though you're listening carefully and trying to solve the problem.
- You stay calm during conflict because that's what competent adults do... but your partner says you seem cold, distant or uncaring.
- You genuinely believe you're doing everything you can, yet somehow it still doesn't feel like enough.
- Conversations have become mostly about work, children & logistics.
- Physical affection has become less frequent.
- Sex isn't what it used to be.
- Part of you quietly worries that you're failing in the one area of life you've never been able to master.
Perhaps the most frustrating part is this...
You're not someone who avoids problems.
In every other area of your life, if something isn't working, you learn, adapt and improve.
But your relationship feels different.
After a while, it's easy to reach one of two conclusions.
Either:
"Maybe I'm just not very good at relationships."
Or:
"Maybe we're simply growing apart."
Fortunately, neither of those conclusions is necessarily true.
In fact, after working with hundreds of individuals and couples, I've noticed something remarkably consistent.
Highly capable people often struggle in relationships for a very specific
reason.
Not because they don't care.
Not because they're emotionally broken.
And not because they chose the wrong partner.
But because they're applying the same operating system at home that
made them successful at work.
Once you understand that, everything starts to make a lot more sense.

If you've ever wondered...
"Why can I solve complex problems at work, lead teams, negotiate million-pound deals or make difficult decisions under pressure... but still end up having the same argument with my partner?"
The answer probably isn't what you think.
It isn't because you're emotionally unintelligent.
It isn't because you don't care enough.
And it isn't because you're with the wrong person.

The problem is that you've been using the wrong tools and the wrong operating system.
When your partner is upset, they usually aren't asking you to solve a problem. They're asking you to understand an experience.
When a conversation becomes emotional, winning the argument rarely strengthens the relationship. Feeling understood does.
When your partner says they feel distant from you, working harder or providing more doesn't necessarily solve it.
Because emotional connection isn't built through efficiency. It's built through responsiveness, curiosity, warmth and emotional safety.
That doesn't mean everything you've learned professionally is wrong.
Far from it.
It simply means that the rules which help you succeed in the boardroom are different from the rules that help you build closeness in your relationship.

Learn why your professional strengths have become relationship blindspots—and what to do instead.

For when your partner doesn't feel heard - and you want to defend yourself.

It's a practical, bite-sized mini course designed specifically for successful, analytical professionals who want to save a struggling relationship without sitting through months of therapy or learning to speak in clichés.
Every lesson is intentionally short, practical and immediately actionable.
You won't find:
- Endless theory.

Instead, you'll get:
- Short video lessons you can watch in minutes.

This Course Is For You If...
✔ You're successful professionally but your relationship feels like the one area of life you can't seem to figure out.
✔ You're tired of having the same conversations without making real progress.
✔ You want more warmth, connection and intimacy—but don't know how to create it.
✔ You'd rather have practical tools than spend months analysing your feelings.
✔ You're willing to make small behavioural changes if they produce meaningful results.
This Course Isn't For You If...
✘ You're looking for someone to tell you your partner is the problem.
✘ You want a quick fix without changing anything yourself.
✘ You're hoping for miracle solutions or manipulative communication techniques.
✘ You're unwilling to reflect honestly on your own relationship patterns.
This course isn't about assigning blame.
It's about helping you understand the patterns that create emotional distance—and giving you a practical roadmap for changing them.
Because once you understand your relationship blindspots, you stop
reacting automatically.
You start responding intentionally.
And that's often where relationships begin to change.

I'll be completely transparent. This is the first version of The High-Achiever's Relationship Blindspots. But this is the beginning of what I intend to become a much larger body of work for high-performing professionals who want stronger relationships.
As more people go through the programme, I'll continue refining it. I'll add new lessons. Develop additional resources. And expand it into the complete Relationship Operating System I have planned. As the programme grows, so will its price.
That's why I'm offering it at £37 today. I'd rather reward the people who are willing to join early and help shape what this becomes.
Imagine where your relationship could be a few months from now if you started making small, intentional changes today instead of waiting until frustration turns into resentment. The only question is whether you'll still be having the same conversations three months from now...
...or whether you'll be glad you decided to do something about them today.
That's absolutely fine.
This course is designed to help you change the patterns you bring into the relationship.
One person changing how they communicate, respond and repair can often have a surprisingly positive effect on the dynamic between two people. While no course can guarantee a particular outcome, you don't have to wait for your partner to take the first step before you begin improving the relationship.
No.
Communication is part of the solution, but it isn't the starting point.
This programme is built around a different idea:
The skills that make you successful at work can unintentionally create relationship blindspots at home.
You'll learn why those blindspots develop, how they affect connection, and what practical changes make the biggest difference.
Communication is one tool within a much bigger framework.
Yes.
In fact, it's one of the reasons I created it.
This isn't about encouraging you to become someone you're not.
There are no awkward exercises asking you to analyse every emotion or spend hours talking about your childhood.
The course is practical, structured and focused on behaviour.
You don't have to become a different person.
You simply need a different approach.
Definitely.
Many relationships don't struggle because of constant conflict.
They struggle because of emotional drift.
Conversations become transactional.
Affection fades.
Life becomes busy.
People begin to feel more like colleagues or co-parents than romantic partners.
This course is just as relevant for rebuilding warmth and connection as it is for reducing conflict.
Not necessarily.
Relationships are remarkably adaptable when people begin changing the patterns that have been keeping them stuck.
The sooner you recognise those patterns, the easier they are to interrupt.
Whether you've been together for five years or thirty, learning new relationship skills can still make a meaningful difference.
No.
This course is educational, not therapy.
If your relationship is experiencing abuse, coercive control, ongoing infidelity, addiction or serious mental health concerns, working directly with an appropriately qualified professional is likely to be the better option.
However, many couples experience recurring conflict, emotional distance or relationship drift without needing intensive therapy.
This course is designed for those people.
The course is intentionally designed for busy professionals.
Lessons are short, practical and focused on implementation rather than theory.
Many people will work through the programme over a weekend or across a couple of weeks, then return to individual lessons whenever they need a refresher.
